We have all settled in so well into our new class and have taken part in lots of fun activities!
Language Literacy and Communication
We have been reading Maisie goes to hospital and talking about what happens, and who helps us when we are ill. We’ve also been reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and talking all the food he eats. We’ve looked at what foods are healthy and not healthy.
We’ve had lots of opportunities to practice holding pencils and pens and making a variety of marks.
We’ve counted all the fruit that The Very Hungry Caterpillar ate and used the fruit to print repeating patterns.
We’ve made pictures using 2D shapes and models using 3D shapes.
In Creative Development, we have been drawing lines and shapes using a variety of mark making materials. We used the fruit that The Very hungry Caterpillar ate to make fruit kebabs.
In Physical Development, we have been developing our fine motor skills through threading activities and have collect autumn leaves and threaded them on string to make autumn mobiles.
In Personal and social development, we have been talking about emotions and made sad and happy faces using autumn leaves. We’ve talked about our families and have drawn pictures of them using the I pads.
